High school students interested in a career in healthcare now have the opportunity to get a head start through a no-cost Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program. Over the course of 12 weeks, students will complete 140 hours of instruction that combines online and in-person lectures with hands-on skill labs, clinical training, and internship experience.
The program not only prepares students to sit for the state CNA exam, but also provides job placement assistance upon completion. All necessary materials are included at no cost, such as textbooks, a uniform, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, CPR certification, exam fees, and the CNA license itself.
To participate, students must be at least 16 years old by the end of the program and be enrolled in high school or an approved alternative education program.

This program is sponsored by RI Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner. This training is 100% funded by the US Department of Labor through an award totaling $333.333.33.
