Teacher Assistant Training

Course description

Interested in working with students in kindergarten through 12th grade as a full-time, part-time, or substitute teacher assistant? Start your journey with our free, four-week training program, beginning June 2 at Westerly Education Center.

Program Details

  • Dates: June 3 – July 1
  • Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays
  • Time: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Location: Westerly Education Center, 23 Friendship St., Westerly

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate recognized by the Rhode Island Department of Education. Fees are waived for students who meet eligibility criteria.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Income verification required
