Project management is a discipline needed for the cost-effective and efficient management of manufacturing and production facilities. Project managers help optimize the flow of products and services, saving time and money for businesses.
After successful completion of four courses, graduates will strengthen their skills and provide more value to employers seeking the implementation of modern techniques to drive optimal performance.
Enrollment is open for the first course that will run from May 13 through June 21, 2019, which is Rhode Island College’s Summer Session I.
The integrative course introduces concepts related to supply chain dynamics, procurement, logistics, planning, and transportation. The distinctive, real-world designed curriculum addresses knowledge and skills applicable for strategic and operational performance; managing processes needed for the production and distribution of goods and services; and teamwork skills. Participants will connect theory to practice through the use of hands-on simulations, exercises and problems, and case studies.
The cost is $1,292 per course. HOWEVER, if you live and work in Rhode Island the course will be free. Because this postsecondary credential addresses a state-identified need for improved training for jobs that exist now and will be a part of Rhode Island’s future economy, the Real Jobs Rhode Island grant program is underwriting the cost for incumbent workers to study and train in this discipline.
The admission requirements are a bachelor’s degree, application letter, letters of recommendation and perhaps an interview.
